The Concept
First dates can feel like interviews with better outfits. This special BIRA edition flips that energy. Instead of flowers or grand gestures, you show up with two pints and a simple idea: let’s keep it easy.
The crate of two is designed for asking someone out on a beer date, low pressure, no overthinking, no expectations beyond a good conversation. Beer becomes the buffer. Something familiar to hold, sip, and laugh over, so silence doesn’t feel awkward and nerves don’t take over.
My Experience
This was my first time designing packaging, and the excitement was honestly through the roof. With just four days to take it from idea to final prints, everything felt fast, messy, and slightly terrifying, in a good way. Seeing it come to life by the end of day four made all the stress worth it, especially when the measurements somehow worked out despite me being famously bad at maths. Watching a concept turn physical for the first time was easily the most rewarding part.
